Barista - Velostar (Apr 2019 - June 2023)

Made food and drinks, baked, cleaned, and many other associated tasks. Trained and mentored new employees, and was one of the longest employed workers. Received 2 pay raises during employment, and was often available on short notice. Continue to work odd shifts if needed (ongoing).

 

Nanny (May 2024 - ongoing)

Took care of 2 children, four years old and under. Drove the older child to/ from preschool, took care of younger child throughout the day. Completed house chores such as dishes, tidying house, laundry, and making lunch for children. Worked throughout the last summer and resuming this spring.

 

Coaching Assistant - Grouse Mountain Tyee Ski Club (May 2023 - Aug 2023)

Coached off-snow training for children ages 10-14, worked at GMTSC and volunteered at WVSC. Kept children engaged and happy while pushing them physically, and spoke to them about the experience of the provincial team. Managed a group of 10+ children on Grouse Mountain for garbage clean-up and kept them safe and out of trouble.

 

Retail Worker (Sept 2023 - July 2024)

Greeted and helped customers get settled while boot fitters became available. Shared knowledge about ski racing, and often spoke with younger athletes and provided some insight from a higher level. Connected with many people in the ski community. 

 

Tutor (Sept 2025 - ongoing)

Tutoring grade 9 Mathematics and Science, as well as Pre-Calculus 10, weekly from September ongoing. Intermittently tutored the same student in elementary-level Mathematics in 2020.
